  Comfortable until they start slipping down.

  Comfortable when they stay in place, but they keep sliding down no matter how tight I get the upper straps. While on a ride, every time I stop, I have to pull them back up. As for protection, I have been fortunate at this time not testing how they protect but figure that will be happening in the future.

  Bought these for a Utah trip in spring so I haven't used them yet but can report the following: Sizing runs small. I normally wear med being 6' 170lbs. ordered l/xl based on previous reviews and they fit great Quality it top notch The upper band around the bicep prevents the forearm/elbow guard from pushing up
